Why would the woman have thought that she was pregnant in the first place? Who was her care provider?

this is just very odd....how did they not know if she was REALLY pregnate? and did they not monitor during the attempt on induction and not find a heart beat?? just really really weird

The intern's reading of the ultrasound seems to have been the problem. I know that their are other problems that can make the body seem as if pregnant, but an ultrasound should have cleared that up.
