I've been seeing a lot of women talking lately about having used misoprostol when having a miscarriage to "move things along."  My question is, isn't there still a risk of uterine rupture as there would be during full-term labor?  I'm asking because I'm sadly in the same boat as these ladies and I don't like the idea of having a D&C like my doctor suggested, but I think I'm even more frightened of the idea of using this drug.  I found this statement in my online searching "UTERINE RUPTURE HAS BEEN REPORTED WHEN CYTOTEC (misoprostol) WAS ADMINISTERED IN PREGNANT WOMEN TO INDUCE LABOR OR TO INDUCE ABORTION BEYOND THE EIGHTH WEEK OF PREGNANCY."  I do have an herbal remedy from a midwife, but I haven't used that yet either.  It has black cohosh and other herbs in it.  Can't I just allow things to happen naturally in its own time?
