DVD #3 is so packed with such important information that it would be a crime for me not to try to shout it from the rooftops. http://holisticmamas.com/more-business-of-being-born-review-dvd-3-e...

The resounding message from the films is that birth is not about where you do it — be it hospital, home, birth center or wheat field — it’s about having choices and attaining the knowledge necessary to make the best choices for you and your baby. http://givingbirthwithconfidence.org/2011/11/more-business-of-being...

So here’s my final take: Ricki Lake and Abby Epstein don’t believe that every one of us should have a home birth.  Lots of people (mistakenly) thought that this was the message of the first Business of Being Born, but this is not the message of the films. Instead, the message is this: Each woman has a fundamental right and ability to choose the type of birth that is right for her, and what is “right” will vary from woman to woman.

I'm incredibly thankful for this new, eye opening documentary on modern birth made by women for women. http://www.underthehighchair.com/2011/11/more-business-of-being-bor...

As a childbirth educator and doula, I can advocate for doulas and birth centers all day long but having these experiences brought to mothers from a neutral third party helps moms understand why we recommend these alternatives to the normal treatment of labor in the medical model of care in the United States.

Just like the rest of More Business of Being Born, [The VBAC Dilemma] is the perfect blend of education and inspiration. http://birthingbeautifulideas.com/?p=4126

This is what I love about these DVD documentaries: we take responsibility for our own actions, do the research, and decide for ourselves. The filmmakers don’t prescribe a solution; instead, they present the stories of women who have attempted VBAC and “failed,” and women who have attempted VBAC and succeeded. They give us the information from all sources – OBs, midwives, women who have had Cesareans – that empowers us to make the right decision for ourselves, and for that I give them a standing ovation. Brava to Ricki Lake and Abby Epstein! http://holisticmamas.com/more-business-of-being-born-review-dvd-4-t...

As an activist, I found myself left with a renewed sense of action or purpose, a desire to do more and help more so that all mamas and babies have the opportunity to experience birth as the positive, loving and intimate experience it was meant to be as well as a deeper understanding of the crisis surrounding our medical model of birth. I would recommend this film to everyone, as the state of maternity care affects us all. http://talkbirth.wordpress.com/2011/11/09/guest-post-more-business-...

Overall More Business of Being Born <http://www.thebusinessofbeingborn.com/> is a Must See in my book!  Entertaining, real and intriguing.  All parents and parents to be should watch these films.  Knowledge and awareness are key to getting the best possible care and that is just what these films give us.  http://www.sippycupchronicles.com/2011/11/win-more-business-of-bein...

Since the birth of my son I have trained to become a Doula, and I consider myself an advocate for women during the childbearing years. Notice I didn’t say “for natural childbirth”, or “for homebirth”. I strongly believe that every woman should be able to deliver their baby how they choose – and that women deserve to have all the information they need to make those decisions. I’m grateful for Ricki Lake and her team for bringing this information to families, and I think that any woman would be well served to watch these films and learn everything she can from them. - http://www.mommieswithcents.com/2011/11/more-business-of-being-born...

Alanis Morissette’s birth story alone is worth the price of a download. Seriously, she’s incrediblehttp://blogs.babble.com/being-pregnant/2011/11/08/more-business-of-...
