"Gray said there have been at least Tulsa two cases in the past year where women with high risk deliveries attempted home births, but ended up at a hospital when complications developed.
'My concern is somebody delivering at home or at a birthing center doesn’t have adequate medical care if something goes wrong,' Gray said."

A good midwife knows when to transfer. This OB/GYN seems to think that a midwife is going to "stay the course", no matter what.

Two out of how many home births? That is a pretty good rate, IMO. And it didn't say anything about mortality, just that complications arose.
