I posted a few days ago about being overdue and she came the next morning.  Here is my story!  Thank you ladies for all of your kind words.

"I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; that I know very well"(Psalm 139:14)

Our long awaited sweet baby girl was born on Wednesday February 3,
2010. She greeted the world at 9:24 am weighing 8lbs 4oz and 22 inches
long.

I woke up 3:30 Wednesday morning with contractions about 8 minutes
apart lasting for almost a minute. I had been having these for about a
week so I tried to sleep them off. About 4 am I gave up and decided to
take a bath; 15 minutes later my contractions started coming 3 minutes
apart and lasting 90 seconds. My midwife lives an hour away so I knew I
had better call her if she was going to make it here on time.

My husband began filling the birthing pool while I waited on the
midwives. I kept praying through every contraction and by 6:30 am I had
progressed to 8 cm and fully effaced. The birthing pool was amazing and
it really helped me to rest in between contractions and helped with the
pain management.

Around 8 am I felt like I needed to push and my dear husband held my
hand through it all. By 9:20 my waters burst and out she came. I'm
still in shock at how wonderful everything turned out. She is perfect
in every way.

I remember thinking as I was getting cleaned up and onto the couch, " I did that. I really just had a baby."

I am so happy with my decision to have a home birth. My midwives were
amazing and I really can't imagine having a baby any other way now. God
made my body just perfect to have this baby in His timing and I'm so
glad that I stuck to my plan.
