Resources and other moms in Brooklyn
Hi!
I am only 6 week pregnant but already exploring my choices. I am very interested in water birth and couldn't find much in the area where I live (Park Slope)... is there any one of you around here and willing to share resources and experiences? I will see my midwife in a couple of week but so anxious to find out more! is there any online or in person community in Brooklyn?

Mary Lynn Fiske is an amazing birth teacher. We enjoyed a series of private sessions with her and she really helped prepare us for our homebirth. One of the greatest gifts she gave us was the way she prepared my husband to be a vital part of the birth. Our midwife says she can always tell when the father's to be have worked with Mary Lynn. She just has a magical way of bringing them into the birth.

there's also a Hypnobabies instructor in the manhattan area if you're interested. There are so many options out there! i've used hypnobabies myself twice, love it and plan on using it again with my third due in feb.. I'm a certified instructor in the connecticut area.
