The likelihood that a first-time mother will deliver by cesareanmethod is increasing and the likelihood that a woman will attempta vaginal birth after a previous cesarean delivery is decreasing, according to a large nationwide study of more than 200 000births.
I'm really not surprised. Of all the women I personally know who gave birth this year (this was the Year of the Baby in my circle of acquaintances), about 70% had a c-section. Most of those were after failed inductions. Only myself and one other friend had natural births. It is such a shame.
