The website www.thebirthsurvey.com
now allows people from all over the nation to take a short survey on the quality of care they have received from their midwives and/or OB's. The website allows women to read consumer reviews to help them make informed choices for their care. If you have a minute, I would love for you to visit the site and complete the survey. The surveys are kept anonymous.
There are a variety of questions regarding ratings for prenatal care, labor & delivery, and post-natal care and you can also leave comments about certain aspects as well as giving a numeric rating. I think this is a great website.
If you're interested in becoming more involved in the project you can volunteer to collect hospital intervention data near you or to spread the word about the survey to pregnant women, new parents and care providers in your area. See the website for more details and please please please fill out the survey if you have a few minutes and have given birth within the past three years!
