I was just looking at a Wrapsody Bali Baby Breeze! Good to know they are actually cool! Although with taxes and shipping I'd be paying almost $100 to get it... I don't know if I can justify paying that for a piece of cloth :(

Cool carriers...I use a Bali Breeze by Wrapsody - I live in the Caribbean and it's cool enough to wear for a long while without dripping with sweat! I have other carriers but this is the coolest and it's beautiful too!

Just created a curriculum for baby wearing. I offer it in my community and so far great responce. I have been reading comments and although I am not a part of a lot of groups this is one that I am excited to be a part of. I am such a babywearer! My Son just turned one year, and I find that as our relationship evolves so does our wearing style.

thanks sara i live in texas too..so its nice to know that someone else knows the heat im dealing with and how to carry a baby and not sweat to death..lol

www.wearyourbaby.com has great info about materials that are great for hot climates. It also has simple, illustrated instructions on how to pick out fabric and make your own carriers--wraps, slings, and ABC's. Like Darcel said Gauze is fantastic for use in the heat--I am in Texas and that is my fabric of choice for surviving the hot, hot summers we have here. That site also has links to lots of videos on how to do different carries with different carriers and the best carrier to use for different ages and carries you prefer. Great Site!!!

Gauze is a lightweight breathable material. Here is a list of summer wraps that people love. My favorite is the Didymos Waves.

id like to know bout more breathable material carriers too! i have a hotsling, moby, jellybean, and two homemade wraps..but i've noticed that from my body heat and lil mans own heat that we both tend to sweat if he's in it for more than an hour or so.

Can't believe what a difference baby wearing makes when caring for 2 under 2! I think it's the only thing that has kept me sane while my husband works! My 1 month old does NOT like to be put down during the day and using the wrap has been such a blessing; besides which, we both love it! The only downside is that I think it's going to be too hot for us this summer; any good ideas on cooler carriers?
