I had a ring cling with Becka and we both LOVED it immensely. She never liked the cradle hold, and always wanted to have her head on my chest, this made it easy and she loved it. It also helped with those nights of none stop crying! We would fall asleep with her in the sling and me on the chair! :)

I am making a wrap with some fabric I have this time. :)

My over the shoulder baby holder is my favorite. I love the shoulder padding. Some of the other slings I have used have ended up giving me a 'pain in the neck' LOL.

I have loved my hotsling and my moby wrap and have used/needed nothing else. The moby is really the love of my life. he has liked it at every stage. i never did much baby wearing with my first, i got an ergo for him when he got older that i could not live without. but with my second i've just pretty much been baby wearing from the beginning. i was using the moby wrap with him by the first week, and use it almost daily. the hotsling has been out of commission for a bit because he was too big for the cradle carry, but old/skilled enough for other holds. (he is over 17lbs at 4months)

For all you sling/carrier moms--which slings do you love/hate, and which do you recommend the most? Believe it or not, I have 5! My daughter, now 3 months, hated all of them until recently because she did not like the infant position. Finally, she is ok with the snugli and the maya ring sling. But, for future babies, which do you recommend and how did you get them used to using it?

My husband and I are Christian, quiverful, AP, cloth diapering, baby wearing, we don't co-sleep though.

I'm an AP parent too! I'm doing all the 'crunchy' mama things with my newborn. I'm looking forward to my baby to gain some weight so I can wash the cd's less! He doesn't fit into his sm FB yet so we only have a rotation of 10 diapers! We supplement with the diapers we got from the hospital. I planned a waterbirth at a birth center but had an emergency c/s in the hospital due to placental abruption.

Very proud mama of a beautiful two year old daughter. She was born at home in water, a surprise vaginal breech delivery. Still nursing, co-sleeping, no CIO, cloth diapering, etc. I did think that I would work less than I am, but just love my job and felt compelled to be there more (I'm a pregnancy & pediatric chiropractor, birth doula & childbirth educator). It was a tough decision, but so far is working well for our family.

I wish all you ladies lived in Guam with me!! I live on a Military base and so far all the mothers I have met are formula feeding, crib and separate room sleeping, cry it out, pediatrician-loving soon to be working Moms. I am not judging them as mothers, but I am COMPLETELY th opposite and I have nothing in common with any of them as far as parenting goes. Thank goodness for groups/sites like this!
