Hi. I live in Reno, NV and last summer I took my DONA Doula Training. I am still working on certification. Had a little set back - Open heart surgery in Nov. with lots of complications. Getting on track now. Ready and excited to attend births as a doula.

There is also CAPPA for doula training. I'm certified with DONA and have been very happy.

Consider ALACE for your doula training. In my group there were some who had done DONA too, so had opinions about which they liked better. And they've been around a long while, just don't have as much public awareness.

I have been thinking of becoming a doula for a while now. I know about DONA, are there any others out there? How long did it take you? I could watch women give birth all day. I love it!

i would like to say hello to all the Birth Doula's.I just become certified couple months ago and working towards getting the word out about Doula's.The area that i am in at this time does not have any others so i would love to meet others that are maby close.im north of Columbus Ohio.thanks for alowing me to your group.
