I asked my friend about the sunbaby diapers and here is what she said.

"Sunbaby is all I use when I'm cloth diapering, and I love them. They are definitely worth the money spent, but they are also only about $5-6 a piece. So, while I do think they would last for 3 or so years before you start getting snaps falling off or ripped PUL, they aren't high quality enough that they could go through multiple babies. Basically, 3 years is the about the most I'd expect on them being used regularly. That said, I do love them and I love that they are affordable and CUTE!"

I hope that is helpfull.

Ok so I navigated the Sunbaby website more. Their prints are very cute & the packages are actually cheaper than Green Bees! So if I chose Sunbabies, what is the quality on them? Anyone use them??

Mel-what does your friend say about how they perform?? Thanks : )

Mel-Thank you for the response! And sounds like a good idea. Do you know of the other brands I mentioned??

My good friend uses only Sunbabies for her 1 and 3 year olds.  She loves them and is addicted to getting the different prints.  I think her stash was over 50.And yes you do have to buy packages.  What she does is finds other mammas that want to order and they will split the package if she is only needing one or two.

NEW QUESTION: When researching CDs, i came across some budget friendly ones, or I should say the best priced I've seen!! So I was wondering if anyone has tried these 3 & what is your opinion on them??

*Green Bees (leaning towards trying these, but they might run a little large which worries me for using on a newborn/infant, but prints are cute & priced amazing!!!)

*Sunbabies (website not completely user friendly & the "about" section seemed financially driven versus doing this for environmental purposes or a love of CD, so not really a fan of that-and it seemed like you had to buy in pakcages only. Idk?)

*Alva (found website to be VERY confusing & metric sytem is different than US b/c they are a Britich Co. I believe, but priced well yes).

Now all of these are made outside of the US (i.e. China & England). Is there a major difference between US made or foreign made, but American owned possibly? Does anyone have a strong opinion on either/or and why??

So my top picks were CBs, BBs, & Oh Katys........but than I stumbled on these budget friendly brands & thought about giving them a try-specifically Green Bees. So please, if anyone has tried these tell me all about it! Thanks : )

Thank you Mel! good advice. My top picks at this point are: Charlie Bananas, BestBottoms, & Oh Katys. I might get a couple of Thirties & Kawaiis just to try them. I am thinking too that the OS will be just fine for a newborn. About PFs, I might end up trying them of course, but I'm not necessarily leaning towards them lol.  And thats great about making your own cloth wipes & using them even when you go out!

I just tryed my first Flip cover and I LOVE IT.  I use prefolds and a snappi under my diaper covers.

I like Kawaii, but I wouldnt envest my money in a large stock of them because, while mine have been great, I have herd of alot of other people who have had issues with them.

I decided I didnt like the idea of buying NB prefolds so I got small ones that worked for about 3 months.  Then I bought Econobum prefolds, they are supposed to be a onesized from birth to potty training, and I think they would have worked fine for a NB.

Dont let prefolds scare you, they are really pretty easy, I like to use a snappi because it holds the poop in better.  But even if you dont as long as the covers you have fit well you should not have to worry about a poopy mess.

Cloth wipes are great, I made mine out of extra flannel and terrycloth fabric I had.  You can just throw them in the pail with the diapers and wash them, I think that makes them easier.  And when we are out and about I still use them, I just prewet them and put them in a ziploc bag.

New Question: I was planning on just going for the OS to save money & it seems like they would fit a newborn, but moms would you recommened say doing a newborn diaper rental?? Or would you say OS CDS are usually fine?

Hey Karyn-No worries on not replying right away. Thank you for your helpful advice. I might end up caving in and trying PFs. I guess I'm just nervous I won't fold them correctly or they'll slide out of place or get bunched up, all possibly causing leaks & the CD won't work properly like it should.  And it seems like there are several ways of folding them.  Idk, guess I'm a little apprehensive about PFs lol.  And my mind isn't made up about using cloth wipes that are reusable or biodegradeable/organic wipes.  I have decided not to use the normal disposable wipes, I'd rather change to biodegradeable because they are better for the environment which is one of the reasons I'm going to CD next time around. But I'm going to look into cloth wipes for sure & see if that's for me.

So right now I'm liking these brands just from researching them of course-Charlie Bananas, Oh Katy, Best Bottoms, possibly try BumGenius, Flip and Thirsties & maybe Kawii. Am I missing any good ones lol?? Has anyone used these or have anything to say about these particular brands. All info is helpful!!

And yes Kayrn the trial can be a little confusing & make u worry if you choose the right options, so I was originally trying to aim at one brand or two but I think I'll get a few from the list above and make them work. They all seem good from reviews & looks, so hopefully they'll workout.  But I still have plenty of time to continue researching & decide which ones to purchase. Thanks again!
