When did your EBF child get the first tooth?
And by EBF I mean exclusively breastfed: ie. no bottles, pacifiers... only mommy until at least 6 months when food introduction is considered safe. If your child got a paci or a bottle or food early, please note that.
I'm just a little curious, and thought some of you might be too!
My 2-year-old was BF'd with a few bottles of pumped milk and pacifiers until 5 months (she began using a thumb after this) and she got her first little tooth at 10.5 months. We're still BFing occasionally, and I nursed all through my pregnancy with my 4-month-old daughter. It's been fun tandem nursing them! I have a few precious pictures or the rare occasion when they nursed together, and I was also proud to have fed my older girl in the St. Peter's Dome at the Vatican!

No paci, no bottles nothing until six months and my son got his first tooth at 6 months and 3 days. We didn't even realize he was teething. He was a little fussy one night and we wondered why, and the next morning a tooth had popped though!

Kerenza was exclusively fed breast milk until after 26wks of age, but did have a couple of bottles of expressed BM per week from about 2mths old, no pacifier.
She got her bottom 2 teeth at 7mths (top 2 at 10mths and no more yet at 14mths!!!) -

My son got 2 teeth in one week at 8 weeks old. He never liked pacifiers, but we did discover that he liked the 'soothies' brand pacifiers for gnawing on the edge when teething. People started asking me if I would stop nursing because of the teeth....no way, he learned not to bite me rather quickly!

My 11-month-old was EBF for the first 6 months. We tried to introduce a bottle with pumped milk at around 4 weeks, and although we offered it regularly, he never really took it. He's always preferred getting his milk from the source. No pacifiers eve. We started solids at 6 months, but have been going really slowly with that. Breast milk still makes up most of his diet. He got his first tooth at 9 month and he is just now getting three new teeth at once. Do you think that has something to do with being EBF? I wonder.

My first daughter got her first tooth at about 4 months she had that tooth for like 9 months before she got another one!

my daughter got her 1st tooth at 5 months. she was EBF till 6 months, never got a bottle or a pacifier.

Interesting... I was under the impression that BF babies get teeth later, but after some of these responses I'm thinking it may have very little to do with it.
My first daughter took a pacifier and a very occasional bottle, began solids lightly at 4 months and got her first tooth at 10.5 months. She seemed like she was teething since about 3 months though! Same so far with DD#2... she's constantly drooling and gnawing on things. But we haven't gotten to the rashes, fevers, crying, etc. yet! -

Viveka had a few bottles of pumped milk (infection after unnecessarian) and two days when i had training but she got her first teeth around 4 months and had 8 teeth by 10 months. At 15 months she now has 14 teeth. Only two top eye teeth left to break through. She has 4 molars.

my son was EBF until 8 months and got his first tooth at 9 months. My DD is still EBF @ 9 months and she got her first tooth at 6 months. ( she now has 4)

My DD was EBF for about the first 5-6 months before I introduced avacados. She got her first tooth a few days before her first birthday.

I EBF my son until he was 6 mths, although he took a soother for about 3 or 4 weeks when he was around 3 or 4 mths. After that he refused the soother all together. His first teeth popped through when he was 4 mths. Now he's 8 months and has 7 teeth!
I do have a question - I've been letting him nurse on demand since birth, which I think is a good thing, but now at nearly 9 mths, he still wakes up EVERY 2 hours during the night to nurse! I get so exhausted during the night that he always ends up in bed with my husband and I at around 4 am when I have no resolve left. I've been contemplating night weaning, but don't know if I should do it or even how to go about doing it. I'm not really a fan of letting him "cry it out", especially when my husband has to work the next morning, but I have the feeling that if I want him to sleep longer during the night that's the course I'm going to have to take. What do you ladies think?
I'm so glad I found this group, my extended family isn't UNsupportinve of extended breastfeeding, but they all think it's very weird for me to want to nurse past 6 mths, let alone 2 years! And you should have heard them when I said that we were waiting to feed him solids until 6 mths. They thought he was going to waste away, lol! So thank you in advance for your support! -
