I am currently breastfeeding my 16 month old and my milk supply dropped. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions on how to build my supply up again.

My fiance and I were both breastfed.... he was 26 months when he weened himself. We look forward to being able to breastfeed all of our children. I am very large chested (42 F) and can't find and nursing bras large enough for me. I'm due in November but didn't know if you ladies had any suggestions.

My baby have joined this baby model contest called "the next SOFT baby".

Hi! I am a 2 time extended bf'er - nursed both daughters past 2 yrs and am still "once at night" nursing my 2 yr old even though I am due with our son in 4 weeks LOL. I am looking forward to nursing a tiny bundle again!

Brandi, you could try nursing either while letting him watch TV or use a nursing necklace (to distract him) or nurse in a dark room to keep him focused on the breast. Remember too that he is a much more efficient "pump" than a pump is and he will get far more in 5 minutes than your pump will get. Usually, as long as they are growing and have wet and dirty dipes then they are getting enough! Your body most often will make what he needs in the strength he requires it :-)

Karen, thanks for sharing! That article was awesome!
It did, however, make me sad :( My 14 month old son just weaned because I wasn't able to keep up my supply of milk during this pregnancy. I'm 16 weeks right now and thought we could go on breastfeeding just a little longer.

Hi Brandi, Have you recently changed body products for yourself? Perhaps the baby is reacting to something external like a new lotion or deodorant.

Hey Brandi, there are definitely plenty of phases these little ones go through! I remember a time period when Ella wasn't eating a whole lot either...it could be teething, for sure (I wish we could read their minds!). Try Hylands teething tablets - they're a homeopathic blend that dissolves under the tongue. Ella LOVES them. Try not to worry! :)

Hello there, I have a question I thought someone might know the answer to. What's the deal with hunger strikes? My baby is just turning 4 months old and he is starting to push me away throughout the day at times I know he must be hungry. He nurses fine at night, but other than that has only been eating just a couple times during the day. I have had to start pumping to ensure I keep up my supply. It's very strange. It has lasted several days now. I think he may be starting to get little teeth, but he doesn't seem overly fussy like he's in any pain or anything. ??? Thanks!!
