Emily, just remember to make sure you put together a birth plan. If you write one up and discuss it with your OBGYN at one of your last office visits and he/she signs off on this document, you should have no problems at the hospital when it comes to making sure that your thoughts and ideas about how you'd like to have your baby are honored. Best of luck!!! I can provide a copy of my birth plan for example if you need one.

Hi,
I'm looking for support among other pregnant women who aren't fortunate enough to be able to afford or have access to the luxury of a homebirth. I fully support the cause and would choose to have a homebirth for myself, but it is not an option. What are other women doing in preparation for a hospital birth to help safeguard their options when it comes to wanting to give birth as naturally and intervention-free as possible? I know the ability to have a natural hospital birth varies widely by hospital and how open each place's specific policies and attitudes are.
