I have gathered over 200 Hypnobabies birth stories at www.pregnancybirthandbabies.com from moms on the Hypnobabies Yahoo Group.

Here is my brief birth story of Bryson.

I woke up at 1 am with pressure waves I couldn't sleep through. I found if I put on a CD I could "sleep" as long as the CDs were playing. So I rested the rest of the night listening to CDs.

At 8 I got the big boys off to school and friends. Then I relaxed for a few hours. Finally around 10:30 I was ready to go to the hospital. When we got there I was 5 cm.

My doula, DH and I walked the halls and hung out in the room. I was chatting and happy, it was so much fun. Around 4 pm, I got more introverted and stayed relaxed between pressure waves. At 5 pm, I was still 5cm with a bulging bag of water, so I asked my OB to break my water.

I chanted my peace cue and my doula and DH did the relax cue. I was feeling intense pressure, but no pain. I started to push around 6:45 and Bryson was born at 6:59.

It was a wonderful birth! To read the whole story with a lot more details go here. http://www.pregnancybirthandbabies.com/enjoybryson.htm
I have many time lines that I have created for my clients that track their amazing births.

Just last week, I attended the birth of a first-time mom whose membranes began releasing at 7:30 pm after a hike with her husband. Her waves began an hour later and were about five minutes apart. By 1:30 am, the waves had increased in intensity and were 3-4 minutes apart and they asked me to come to them. I was just getting to their home at 3 am, when the dad called me to tell me that they were heading into the hospital.

In triage, mom was so relaxed, she wasn't even listening to her CDs, just sitting relaxed. So relaxed that they asked him if he was sure was in labor! Ha- she was checked about 20 minutes later and found to be at 9cm! They got her a room with a tub and she relaxed in it for an hour, when she got out she was feeling pushy and was checked again to find that she was nearly 10cm with just a tiny lip of cervix.

She breathed her baby down for about an hour. Then, with just about six pushes, her beautiful baby girl was born at 7:18 am... just 11 hours after her first birthing wave! She told me that she was so totally comfortable and her birth was so much faster then she had imagined it. The parents were just so amazed and pleased with their experience and mom was happy about how "normal" she felt right afterward. The staff at the hospital was enchanted by mom's peaceful demeanor and calmness throughout. What a gift to be present for this birth!
