1. Find time for yourself
Happy moms know they deserve a little time to themselves. When you know you're going to have a little room to breathe later on in the day, it's easier to take on everything that's in front of you. Our formula? Take 2 hours out for yourself every 3 days.

Comment by Kathryn O'Brien on October 22, 2010 at 8:37am: I just attended a Hypnobabies birth, after months of listening and practicing her skills, I got the call, arrived at their home and Mom was using all of her skills:) Dad was timing a few waves, happy and making sure Mom drank and went to the restroom as he had a look at his Birth Partner guide to refresh his mental list of support skills as Birth Partner. It was clear to me that Mom was not only comfortable but the positions she was using naturally with no suggestions allowed me to encourage the Belly Lift. After that she wanted to head to hospital and arrived at 7&1/2 cms, as a first time Mom, there was almost a reverence for her and her husband that was very dear to see.
I ran the tub, she moved as her Hypnobabies script listening indicated-"you will know instinctively how to move". I never noticed transition as I normally would have, I knew because of experience only but there was no other indicator from Mom that anything was deeper-I "deepened" her hypnosis with the ques I learned, Dad did the same and very soon she was pushing-ok-not in any traditional sense-breathing while she pushed in several self directed positions till she settled on one. She crowned for 11 minutes, just ooching the Babe out ever so slowly. She let everything move slowly to protect her bottom:) The staff said they "wished we had a movie of this" and Babe came right out to Moms' chest and nursed like a powerful angel herself!

After my son was born I missed the relaxation cues to much, but listening to pregnancy tracks just didn't feel right anymore. Now we're onto baby #3, hypnobaby #2 and I will be downloading this for sure. Thank you!
