On the Road to Become a Midwife!!!!!

I am a Doula and in school to become a CNM, I am still in the pre recs and have a ways to go before I become a midwife. 

I just wanted to ask you all how did you become a midwife and what led you to it?

I also wanted to ask what school you went to and is there any that you have heard of that are really great. 

I am planing on going to Cal Stat Fullerton, because it is the closest midwife school to me. How many of you work at a birth center, hospital, or at home births or more then one.
