It's hard to find events that cater to little children. Where they don't mind the occassional screams or cries and actually have things to do that the parents find interesting too, but don't cost soo much that you can't afford to do anything else. My husband and I seek out these places.
So far in PA we have found a ton of great things to do with our 14 month old that have little to no cost.
Some ideas:
Linvilla Orchard: The prices for pony rides, hayrides, face painting- $6 Petting Zoo, park- free or small donation
Lehigh Ironpigs Games: Lawn seats in center field- $6 They always have events for the kids, free pictures with characters, give-a-ways. Children under 2 are free.
Lake Nockamixon State Park- all state parks are free. Lake Nockamixon is a no swimming park but they have a great play ground, tons of paved trails to walk, a marina, a kids fishing pond that is stocked, a pool, tons of picinic areas.
