I so enjoy doing the post doula work.  I am in the country in KZN looking after a new baby and helping her mum to get some more sleep etc. She is happy and will produce more milk if she can rest and I look after the baby.. Win , win situation!

In South Africa you need help with a new baby and a new mum.  I am a phone call away to take those worries and anxieties away.. I have looked after babies for the past 30 years and can help you with any questions that might be a worry to you.

Does anyone know of any baby expos coming up in the Seattle, WA area?? Can't find anything..
Also, check out alldoulas.com! I found this site on accident and its the greatest thing thats happened to me as a doula! SO helpful!

I live in South Africa and have been a postpartum doula forever.. my babies come to my home and I go to their homes too. I am at their births as a doula and I keep them all so close to me... We all have a super time if their mums are busy or need me I am a phone call away

Hello Ladies,
I just joined this group because I would like to read more about what goes on in the postpartum doula spectrum in the US. I have translated a Dutch manual that is made by and used by postpartum doula's in the Netherlands. I am calling it the 'paper' doula and could be used if someone can't affort a doula or in conjunction with postpartum doula care. Because the new mom tends to forget a lot of things you mention. Am I right? Take a look at some example pages of the manual on www.thefirst8days.com and tell me what you think. I really appreciate any feedback.
