I so enjoy doing the post doula work.  I am in the country in KZN looking after a new baby and helping her mum to get some more sleep etc. She is happy and will produce more milk if she can rest and I look after the baby.. Win , win situation!

P.s. If you're in the Seattle area - like Kent - I know of a great doula (me!). Feel free to visit me on the web at www.babiesinbloom.weebly.com. I am the creator and owner of Babies in Bloom Birth Services & More and I just LOVE what I do. <3

Hello Ladies,
I just joined this group because I would like to read more about what goes on in the postpartum doula spectrum in the US. I have translated a Dutch manual that is made by and used by postpartum doula's in the Netherlands. I am calling it the 'paper' doula and could be used if someone can't affort a doula or in conjunction with postpartum doula care. Because the new mom tends to forget a lot of things you mention. Am I right? Take a look at some example pages of the manual on www.thefirst8days.com and tell me what you think. I really appreciate any feedback. You can also find me in the group 'First Days" on this website.
