Comment by Jessica on June 11, 2012 at 1:25pm I'm so exicted to try out prenatal yoga for my 2nd pregnancy sometime in the near future (not pregnant yet!). I have always wanted to try it & found a yoga studio near my work that has those classes, I was worried I wouldn't find any near by! I want to incorportae this into a healthy pregnancy outlook adn apply during a natural homebirth. I've never done yoga, but plan on starting soon so that I might have some practice & familiarity with it for prenatal yoga. I'm really excited about it & can't wait!! : )

Comment by Kelsey M Kaufman on September 19, 2011 at 9:49am I believe prenatal yoga is a huge reason my labor was so quick and easy. Now, my little miracle joins me in yoga once a week for a mommy and baby class!

Comment by Sarah Longacre on May 19, 2011 at 7:06pm so, I have been a birth doula for over 10 years and have attended almost 500 births. I have also been a yoga instructor for nearly 8 years and have found my passion in prenatal yoga and empowering pregnant women through yoga and education.
About 3 1/2 years ago, I started Blooma Yoga Studio, which focuses on prenatal yoga and educating women and families on the amazing miracle of birth. You can find out more about Blooma at www.blooma.com
This March, I just finished my first prenatal yoga DVD, I am so excited about it. It follows the pregnant women who are in the yoga sequence through their labors and deliveries - YES, it actually shows all of their births and is very graphic.
I believe in being very honest and truthful about birth. Let's be real - it is not easy, it is not pretty, but is is amazing and we as women can have total control over our own births and I believe that we can empower ourselves and truly find our Goddesses that are within each of us through our Yoga practices.
I would love to hear from other women about their experiences with pregnancy, birth, and yoga.
