Stay at Home Moms

A group for those of us who have the opportunity to stay home and raise our babies. Some of us have been privileged enough to be home before but for others this is their first time out of the workforce and it can be scary.

The thing I didn't like about my boppy sling is mainly that it hurt my back. It had an extra strap so you had a strap on each shoulder to distribute the weight, but with the sling it just pulled me to far forward and hurt my lower back way to much. My other complaint with slings is that my daughter seemed so squished in it. The boppy one said it holds up to 20lbs, but I don't think it fits really long/tall babies. Anyway, I think I am going to like the moby wrap better. From the reviews I read it distributes the weight on your back and shoulders evenly.

I have a Maya Wrap, and I love it. I didn't use a sling until my fourth baby, and I wish I had gotten one with the first!

Thanks I am going to the cotton babies store tomorrow to get one. The moby wrap is actually not any more expensive than my boppy sling that I returned to babies'r'us yesterday. It cost $40 as well. One more question, did you get the regular moby or the moby "D" wrap? thanks

Hi I'm a fairly new stay at home mama. I have a 3m old baby girl, my first baby, and although some days I would love to pull my hair out I love not having to leave her with anyone, babysitter, daycare, etc. I did not have a natural birth at all, but only because of my health problems, RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis), but I hope just because I didn't have a natural birth that I can still be part of the bestbirth community. Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions on the best cloth diapers and best baby carrier. I was thinking of getting a mobywrap because my boppy sling killed my back.

I have a 18 month old and he just stared doing it when I take way stuff he is not supposed to have. My mistake I gave him a sucker and now when he does not get one or see his older sister having one. He stomps his feet.
