Morning Ladies!! I need some advice. My Grandparents are coming for a week ( joys!) and I need to get my house clean. I'm thinking of hiring a teenage girl to come play with my kids for 4 hours ( 2 hours 2 days) so I can clean. She'll be home with me... what should I pay her? It's like $5 an hour a child for normal babysitting hours..... any ideas?

Hi everyone! I'm a twenty three year old first time mom. Ella Rose was born at home on 2.4.09, her due date! I consider myself so blessed and fortunate to be able to stay at home with her. I can't imagine giving her away to someone else. I actually haven't even "let" anyone babysit her for longer than an hour! It's a joy...glad to be a part of this group. :)

Erin, I'm starting with www.starfall.com and then using the Alpha Omega pre-k books! We are going slow and keeping it fun. What are you thinking of using?

Ooh, Darcel, I'm excited to look up those links! My 7 yo son and I are finishing up a year of curriculum-driven 1st grade and I've been reading up on unschooling, (John Holt and David Albert to be more specific), because I dragged him through so many lessons last year, exasperated both of us and know in my heart there's a better way! Thanks for sharing :)

Ann, I've been thinking about doing some pre-pre school with my 2 1/2 yo in the fall (he'll 3 in Oct). What are you thinking about doing curriculum wise?
