Stay at Home Moms

A group for those of us who have the opportunity to stay home and raise our babies. Some of us have been privileged enough to be home before but for others this is their first time out of the workforce and it can be scary.

Hi! I'm a SAHM to a 9 year old daughter with a baby girl due in July. This is my first pregnancy (I adopted my husband's 9 year old from his previous marriage) so I have lots to learn!

I'm a mom of 3 CJ 5, Christian 3, and Piper 4 mo. I have been blessed to stay home with all 3. My husband whom i have been with for 14 yrs is so understanding and wanted me to stay home as much as i wanted to. I love being the one my kids wake up to every day. I love walking into their rooms when they were babies and they smile those toothless grins. It melts my heart and i wouldn't give that up for anything. I am looking into becoming a doula or a midwife. I am very passionate about a womans choice nd vbac's. After my daughters water birth i knew for sure this is what i was meant to do.

Hi ladies, Blessings to you all. I'm Nat.
26 as of today (May11th), happily married to my best friend, we have two babies Mat who is 3 and Lily who is 1.

I feel proud and blessed to have been given such an awesome minastry to serve God by being a mother to my children, a home maker 24/7.

Hi to all.

Darcel ,
AWESOME!! I was unschooled thoughout high school and loved it! Way to go!
I'm 26 and have to babes, a 2 y/o and an 8 m/o. We are starting pre-pre-school in the fall ( just for fun). I plan on home schooling my children as well! I'm looking into becomein a midwife or PP doula, but for now, I just want to raise my babies!!

Quick intro! I'm a SAHM of 4, my youngest (in the pic) is 3 weeks old. I'm a doula, Christian Childbirth educator and lactation consultant. My oldest two don't live with me (they don't like living in a small town!) but they were homeschooled and I plan on homeschooling my younger children. I'm really getting into homemaking, meal planning, and frugality. Ok, gotta go nurse!

How ironic! Im looking into becoming a doula as well. I had my last 2, water birth babies and also unschool. The U.S. school system has taken our childrens personalities away and forced them to fit in a cookie cutter "schooling" program. Natural talents are now over looked.

It's homeschooling, but w/out the curriculum. It's child-led learning. It's the total opposite of school. We follow the girls interest and they learn what they want when they are ready. You can read more about it on my blog and at this site

Darcel, what does unschooling mean? I've never heard of that before.

I've been at home since before my 1st was born. I was put on bedrest with her. I was working for a Cardiologist. We are an attachment parenting, unschooling family. I'm looking into becoming a doula.

Home schooling a 17 year old w/ down syndrome. Tackling a 2 1/2 year old, bossy girl & caring for my new addition 5mo all becomes a major cycle through out the day...I have a friend who delivered all her 8 children @ home & home schools them on all grade levels...How does she pull that off????
