I just posted this reply to Christina's discussion but thought I would also leave it here in the general forum.

Im TTC, but in the meantime, I would like to lose about 20 pounds to be a healthier weight. I have struggled with calorie counting and weight watchers but haven't been able to "stick" to a plan for more than a few days before I want to eat everything in sight or have fried foods etc. My husband has been trying to convince me that we should go all NT, all the time- but I just have fears that all the full fat butters, milks, and meats is going to make me gain weight- or at least not lose it. I love the ideas and philosophies of NT but am scared and hesitant to make the change because of weight issues. I would love to hear from anyone about their experiences. thanks!

Welcome, Eileen! Thanks for joining the group. If you have experiences with this diet, please feel free to share them, the results, your best recipes...whatever! Once the American Rally for Personal RIghts has ended and the magazine stuff dies down as we prepare for our July Issue of The Autism File, I promise I will be posting a lot more on here!

Hi Kim and welcome to the group! I am sorry I did not reply sooner. I forgot my password and had to reset it! Please tell me your experience with traditional diet and if you are currently on it.
My family and I will have been on raw milk, pastured chicken eggs, grass fed meats and cheeses (not as much as I'd like) for almost a year now. I really think there is a great deal of knowledge to be learned from our traditional/tribal peoples.
