Thank you so much for sharing your story. I had a very similar experience. I wanted to do a home birth, but high blood pressure caused me to need to have an induced labor in the hospital. They broke my water to get it going, and I made it 20 hours without needing Pitocin or pain medicine, but then my labor stalled, and I wasn't dilating at ALL. I knew that, to avoid having a C-Section, I needed to keep dilating and to relax, so I went ahead and got an epidural. Once I got the epidural, they started the Pitocin. It went pretty quickly after that, and my baby was born. It wasn't what I had planned, and I wish I could have done it naturally, but your story made me feel more at peace with doing what I had to do. I struggle from time to time with feeling guilt, but you have inspired me. Thank you.
