Thanks for the friend request and for your message.

I'm not a midwife or doula myself, I'm a film-maker so I can only tell you about my experience of doulas and midwives in the UK. Most midwives work for the National Health Service and they do a wonderful job but there's a huge shortage of midwives. The doulas in the UK belong to various organisations - DoulaUk and British Doulas being two of these organisations - but their numbers are growing and the word is spreading about how amazing doulas can be!

You can buy a baby carrier that acts like a coat...someone else will have to chime in with the manufacturer, but I guess you could Google it...
