Let me start by saying we went back and forth on deciding if we wanted to have a freebirth or not.
I had researched it since I was pregnant with Ava, and wanted to with her, but Charles wasn't feeling that idea at all. He thought I was crazy for wanting a homebirth.

Pit to Distress. Every Women needs to read this

This is so disturbing. Have you read about how they are using pitocin to the max in the hospitals? Now they are turning it up all the way to distress the babies into "emergency" c-sections.
This angers me!

How are you and the family doing Darcel? Haven't spoken to you in awhile! I hope you're enjoying things :). I keep thinking that we have to order more cloth diapers soon just in case the baby comes a bit earlier than expected. My mom is a bit skeptical about cloth diapering, but I really want to do it and I'm going to really try to learn how to do it well :) Sending hugs your way!

Yeah I drink EMAB milkmaid tea. Only thing that helps. I'm almost out so I'll have to go to babies r us soon to get a few more boxes. I usually drink 3 cups a day. I haven't talked to a LC. There isn't one at my local hospital I found out, and the one at the hospital I gave birth to the first time said that since I didn't give birth there then I'd have to be on a waiting list which was like 6 months long for women who didn't give birth there. So much for support.

Doesn't time go by fast? Is samuel doing good with nursing? I'm assuming he is if he looks like a 4 month old :)

We're doing good. Hunter turned 3 at the beginning of this month. Liev loves to eat, play and talk. He has dropped down to nursing only 3 times a night instead of 6, so I try to pump inbetween to help keep my supply up. My supply seems to be really sensative, 1 missed feeding and it decreases by a lot.

we can't wait to add a lil girl to the mix! lol..some might think were crazy for already planning number three...but we just know we want to try again. lol and were just gonna let God take control on when it happens. :)) konnor loves to be worn too!! and i love it cuz mom gets to do chores around the house and i can even be at the computer with him in his sling! :) how have the girls been?

That's awesome :). Good to hear the family is all jelling together and growing together. I've finally posted some preggo pics...it's taken forever, but better late than never, right? Still really excited for the baby's birth, and she is getting into the world cup thing very seriously these days with all the kicking lol. It's nice to know she's healthy in there and having fun. I don't think I will get tested for GD; so far, things are going well. I'll have to loose a lot of baby weight after the pregnancy, but if I've watched my calories, nutritional content, and portion sizes and I still gained 33 so far....well, maybe nature knows best. I work out, too, so I've done all I can (sigh). How much weight does a woman typically loose right after delivery?

We're doing great! I'm enjoying how much she moves on a daily basis. We're so excited, and being in the third trimester you start to realize that this is all really happening - we're gonna have a baby soon! When I was at my MW's I was back and forth about it, but decided not to test for gestational diabetes. I just didn't need anything to stress me out about the baby's development, and I don't want any more ultrasounds if it turns out that I have GD. So I've been taking Goat's Rue capsules by motherlove because they're known for stabilizing blood sugar and ensuring good milk supply for women who've had hormone issues in the past. This way I can relax because I know that even if I were to have GD, I'm taking something that counteracts it. And I'm eating healthy and making sure we both get all the food groups, etc. So I can't help enjoying that both baby and me seem to be in good health. MW doesn't think I should worry that I didn't gain weight for 3.5 weeks, because my fundal measurements are growing at the appropriate rate, so baby is still developing on schedule :)

How are you doing these days with the fam ?

Meredith, this is YOUR birth, not theirs. Some people are comfortable with a lot of people around, and others are not. You need to do what feels right for you and your baby. No one should be insisting anything. This birth is not about them at all.
