Laney, I'm so sorry to hear that you've had an m/c. I know it's difficult and my heart truly goes out to both you and your husband. But I'm so encouraged that this whole experience has fueled your desire to get some answers about what might be causi…
Laney,
Hold on here! You might just have slow rising HCG, and this doesn't mean the pregnancy will end. You're bleeding....but are there clots? I had some bleeding early this week. I'm in my second trimester. It was bright red and lasted most of Sund…

Thanks for sharing part one! It's great that you're giving the perspective of a woman who goes to a doctor, because this will be so encouraging to women out there who have special needs in their pregnancies and need to seek a doctors care (rather th…
Laney,
you're in my thoughts and prayers! I'm glad to hear you're taking progesterone, and I am sending you healthy positive thoughts for a wonderful pregnancy!
Laney,
I had lots of cramping too - unless they're significantly more severe than regular menstrual cramps, I wouldn't worry. Did you have your progesterone levels tested? Early miscarrages are often a result of low progesterone (I have been on pro…
I've heard some women say it helps, so if you're interested, I'd go for it. They really can help to balance hormones with acupuncture, and it seems like a really holistic approach to take. Good luck with the progesterone levels and the pregnancy :)
I didn't get the swine flu shot. A friend of mine was pregnant and was going to get the shot, and before they were gonna stab her, they told her that there was some ingredient in the swine flu shot (I think it starts with a "T"?) that hasn't been te…
Are you in the USA or in Canada? I don't know how the American system works, but in Canada, midwives provide all the postpartum care up till 6 weeks after delivery. They stay with you for 3-6 hours after the actual birth of your child to make sure y…
It was awesome that her partner was really involved - he was bending with her and trying to support her. I'm sure this must make a partner feel a lot more involved than if all they can do is stand by a bed and pat your hand:).
Very good clip - good to see more people are questioning the rush to cut. Hopefully, more providers will begin to focus on whether mom and baby are okay, and make decisions based on this, rather than rushing to slice.

Congrats Naomi - I'm so thrilled that the baby's got a good strong heartbeat! You and your husband must be so reassured. I know I was on pins and needles until I had my first ultrasound because of my early miscarriage last year, so I can just imagin…
I'm so glad you found the cause of the bleeding, and it has stopped! Do those affirmations for a vaginal birth :)
I am feeling pretty good. My appetite has returned, and seems to be growing. Baby is still really active, and I'm nice and round. I can't believe I'm at 30 weeks!
My energy is low. I feel very tired most of the time. Getting very excited to meet this new little one!
oh, im super exicted for yall! :)) im going fine, i have an ear infection right now..not fun at all..this is the first one i've ever had. and baby is getting bigger everyday!! :) im soo ready for my baby shower and for him to get here..i miss holding a newborn.
It's a load off for him, but for me I feel like I have limits now. I love the MW's. They are awesome, and I think they will be wonderful at the birth. With our first HB, we had no limits. I went to 42 weeks 6 days. If I would've went to 44 weeks, they would've been fine with that, as long as baby and I were doing ok. Different state, different set of laws/rules.
