This was amazing. Thank you so much for sharing. I've been fortunate and blessed to give birth at home twice and planning our third come May. I admire your perseverance and am touched and thrilled you got to have the birth your way:)

OK. Crying again! I know just what you went through. Probably the worst moment was when my first child was born and with my arms strapped down I could only touch him with a finger as they took him off somewhere else for hours. My second was a hospital VBAC - much better but still clinical with lots of bullying. My third was a homebirth almost just like yours. The feeling is incredible, and what really astounds you is how simple and peaceful birth really ought to be!
