Elizabeth Davis, Certified Professional Midwife, is co-founder of the National Midwifery Institute, a three- year, MEAC-accredited, apprenticeship-based midwifery program. She is the author of Heart and Hands: A Midwife's Guide to Pregnancy and Birth, in addition to several other books.
