congratulations! I have always wanted to do a water birth so much! But there are not any birthing centers here, and the hospitals do not offer them. That looks like it was an amazing birthing experience for both you and your husband. Awesome!

Brought tears to my eyes. Shiloh's dad's reaction was so candid and wonderful. As a 7 month pregnant first time mother to be I have been searching for inspiring births which not to mention are hard to come by. I feel that if I surround myself with uplifting birth stories that it will help me achieve my own beautiful birth. I will remember yours.

Tearing up here! That was so calm and beautiful! Congratulations! But I also noticed you had the same problem I had... the video of the baby emerging from the water was messed up because the nurse got in the way! As soon as I pushed out my baby, I yelled at my sister who was filming to go get my big kids. She dropped the camera and ran, and I missed seeing that magical moment where I first pulled him from the water and saw his face! I was so inside my own head at that moment, I was really feeling much more than seeing. Small complaint about my birth, but there it is! Thanks for posting.

Incredible video. You were so composed! I love the look of complete relief on your face when you picked her up out of the water, and Dad's reaction made me cry! I wish the whole world could see this and know how wonderful birth can be. :)
