When our CNMs got fired, we protested, wrote letters and eventually got the local Dept of OB/GYN to overturn a policy which required the backing OB to remain on site while a CNM labors with her patient. In researching this topic on-line, we discovered that this type of bullying is happening to midwives all over our country. We feel it needs to stop.
